a company that prides itself on providing fully-featured
hosting, with a 1 hour support response, and prices lower
than most of its peers. HostExcellence has
been in business seven years, and is located in San Francisco,
California.
Package Features
These features are for the most basic $4.95
per month Linux package. Windows packages start
at $5 per month extra. There is also a $2.99 per month
package, but it lacks many vital features.

HostExcellence is
reasonably unique in offering IMAP mail access on a budget
Web hosting package. Most users use POP3 mail, but IMAP is
often used by people who are on the road and other power
users, so if you need IMAP support, HostExcellence are
the host for you.
HostExcellence has
two redundant fiber-optic connections with SONET. They have
their own fiber-optic loop providing the link between their
data centers and their peering, which means they don't rely
on telephone companies or other providers for their direct
link to the Internet. This means they have a reliable network. HostExcellence has
multiple DS3 and OC3 connections with MCI, Qwest, and AT&T.
The bad news
HostExcellence's control
panel is easy to use, but is not one of the most popular
ones that customers may be used to (such as Plesk, Ensim,
or CPanel). It is, however, reliable and powerful. Secondly,
there is a $20 setup fee, but given the low monthly fees,
and the fact that the setup fee is waived if you sign up
for two years.. this still represents a good deal.
